Jukebox Jive is a brand new Yorkshire based Modern Jive group designed to provide dancers with events that revolve around them. The name ‘Jukebox Jive’ is inspired by our belief that every dancefloor is different. Our aim is to play music that we know you want to hear. Prior to all of our events Jukebox Jive encourages you to send us music requests so that we can design a night that you know will be one to remember. And because we think dancers should be involved with the music they are dancing to, any requests will also be considered at the events themselves. We are Modern Jive dancers ourselves with several years of dancing experience between us, and we bring our knowledge of what makes a good night to our freestyles.

Our first project is a series of freestyles called Strawberry Sundays, which will be taking place at The Lyric Theatre in Dinnington, just a twenty minute drive from the centre of Sheffield. This is an afternoon freestyle of the best Modern Jive music from our very own DJ Mike. Mike is already well known amongst Sheffield dancers for tracks guaranteed to keep you on the dancefloor all afternoon! And if all of this fantastic music starts to lower your energy levels, every Strawberry Sunday event offers a complimentary cream tea half way through the afternoon. Because no Sunday afternoon is complete without a little treat!
